Ms.DeGroot's Classroom Management Plan

Goals

The following is a set of predetermined goals that I have made for myself and my students this year. These goals will be discussed and reshaped by students at the beginning of the school year and referred back to throughout the year.We will work daily toward acheiving these goals so that we can learn and grow together in a positive classroom atmoshpere.

Teacher Goals:

  • create a safe, positive atmoshpere dedicated to learning
  • prepare engaging lessons to meet the needs of all students
  • model appropriate behavior with words and actions
  • be consistent and follow through
  • set high expectations for students and help them acheive their goals

Student Goals:

  • do their best
  • be prepared for class: pencil sharpened, homework done, etc
  • follow directions
  • take risks, participate, and reach for high goals
  • learn from mistakes

Classroom Goals:

  • communicate with others
  • work hard and reach for high goals
  • enjoy learning and working together

"Aim for success, not perfection. Never give up your right to be wrong, because then you will lose the ability to learn new things and move forward with your life. Remember that fear always lurks behind perfectionism."
